Sunday, January 15: Rideau Canal Skateway
It’s about time! A 2.4km stretch of the Rideau Canal is now open. While its not the whole Canal, this is still a huge relief after an unpredictable winter has delayed Ottawa’s favourite winter pastime. You can find more info about which areas are open and closed at the NCC website. Time to lace up those skates!

Wednesday, January 18 at 6:30PM: Craft Beer 101
It’s school for grown-ups! This ‘class’ gives beer-lovers the chance to sample local brews and learn about how they’re made. If you’ve ever wanted to be a beer connoisseur (and no, being a college student and drinking a lot of beer doesn’t make you a connoisseur!), this is where you should start! The event is hosted by the Kichesippi Beer Company at 866 Campbell Avenue.
