  • These richshaws are amazing. They'll take you anywhere. Awesome to take a Rickshaws after a concert at Bluesfest. They'll bring you right downtown. Also good fun after a night out at a bar. They have great recommendations for late night food.

  • Okay, these guys were beyond fabulous!!! Took my family for a quick tour through the market. My son and I giggled as our driver climbed the buildings while running in and out of pillars and light posts!! So worth every penny! The guys are amazing!!   • Rickshaw Scavenger Hunt

    The Ottawa Rickshaws Scavenger Hunt puts an energetic spin on the usual city tour. Our scavenger hunt pits teams against each other, all working to unravel Ottawa's history, culture, and local landmarks--all before the next guy does!

    This is perfect for large groups of friends, parties, company retreats, and family gatherings.  

    Scavenger Hunt FAQ

    • How exactly does it work?

      Teams compete to correctly complete a list of tasks given at the start of the scavenger hunt. Each team rides in a rickshaw, commanding their rickshaw operator to navigate the city to help complete the tasks quickly. The team with the most correct tasks completed at the end of the time limit wins!

    • How many teams can play at a time?

      A maximum of 11 teams can play in one heat. A minimum of 2 teams must play for the game to work. Each team can consist of up to 3 people. To accommodate more teams, teams can take turns completing tasks on foot and riding in rickshaws.

    • Where does the game take place?

      The scavenger hunt takes place in downtown Ottawa, in the Byward Market, on Major's Hill Park, and around the Parliament Buildings. The race begins and finishes at the Canadian War Memorial at the intersection of Elgin St. and Wellington St.

    • Do I have to know Ottawa well to play?

      No you don't! Part of the fun is learning about Ottawa through this exciting and awesome game. Even a seasoned Ottawa expert will learn something new through our scavenger hunt.

    • What kind of tasks must we complete to play?

      Tasks ask participants to gather information about Ottawa's history, culture, and landmarks. Almost all of the tasks can be completed by careful observation in Ottawa's downtown area, although it is always helpful to ask strangers along the way!

    • Can we use our smart phones?

      We encourage players to experience the game without the assistance of smart phones. It's a lot more fun that way!

    • What is the cost?

      The cost to play is $65 per team (remember, each team can consist of up to 3 participants!) This money goes towards facilitating the scavenger hunt and paying your rickshaw runner who will be working hard to help you win!
